The PSAT will be given at Newton South High School on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Newton South students who are members of the Class of 2014 and the Class of 2015 are eligible to take the exam. Home-schooled students who live in the South district may also register for the exam. Students from other schools/school districts must take the exam at their own school. There is no make-up date for the PSAT.
An exam has been ordered for every member of the Class of 2014. Additional exams have been ordered for members of the Class of 2015, but there are not enough to allow each sophomore to test. Registration for sophomores is on a first come, first served basis. However, we have never run out of exams in the past for those sophomores who wish to test.
There is no makeup date for the PSAT. Please contact Maimonides School as soon as possible (617.232.4452) for information on testing options for students that cannot test on October 20th for religious reasons.
Students who need to test with accommodations, such as extended time, may do so only if they have been approved by the College Board’s Office of Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) and if they have been assigned an SSD number. Please contact Ms. Marion Rouse at 617-559-6587 or your child’s counselor for more information. Students that have approved accommodations must bring a copy of their College Board letter with their SSD number to registration.
Registration will be held in Wheeler Commons during J block on September 10, 12, and 13. The cost of the exam is $30. Additional information will be available during Advisory in September and is on the South website. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Dolan, PSAT Supervisor.
