“I Heart My Heart” – Fitness Campaign for Teens, Feb. 1-14

From February 1-14, The Newton Partnership is sponsoring a communitywide campaign “I HEART MY HEART” to educate adolescents about fitness and nutrition strategies that can be practical parts of their everyday routines. The two weeks will include a “menu” of daily healthy activities and choices. Many offerings are open for families to participate too!

Kids will receive a calendar of 20 free events or activities that they can do from Feb. 1 to 14. To every student who turns in a calendar with their contact information in a special drop box in the school cafeteria on Feb. 14, Whitsons will provide a free healthy treat. Kids who have completed 7 or more activities will be entered into a raffle to win one of 20 prizes, including four $100 gift cards. Friday, February 1, is Wear Red Day. Teens wearing red to participating local eateries will receive a discount on a healthy menu option.
