As we end another successful school year we want to thank parents and family members who helped the PTSO with the many events, projects, food donations, set ups, clean ups, chaperoning and other PTSO-related tasks throughout the year. With that spirit in mind, parents and guardians are needed for a whole range of volunteer positions in the Newton South PTSO for next year. Whether you want to spend a couple of hours in school helping with a specific project, to running a committee, to envisioning new spirit activities, etc., there are many events that need parental leadership to succeed. Contact the PTSO today and let us know what you most enjoy doing. We look forward to hearing from you!
We would like to acknowledge the contributions of our outgoing co-presidents, Nancy Mann and Joan Hayes, as well as our treasurer, Nina Levin. We will miss them on the PTSO Board, but we are happy that they will continue to be valued members of our alumni community. Our new treasurer will be Faith Paul. In addition to parent volunteers, we are currently accepting student representatives to the PTSO for next year. If your student is interested, please have them contact their housemaster.
This is the last Newton South High School PTSO newsletter to run for the 2012-2013 school year. We will start up again in August as back-to-school information becomes available. In the meantime, we wish everyone a safe, relaxing and fun summer!
PTSO Co-Presidents: Betsy Blagdon and Lori Lass
