Empty Bowls Soup Supper Fundraiser – Thurs., Nov. 7 in Student Center

Don’t’ miss this years EMPTY BOWLS EVENT on Thursday, November 7, 6-7:30PM in the Student Center, (Cafeteria) – $10 Adults, $5 Students to Support Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen. Empty Bowls is a grassroots event that helps bring awareness to food insecurity and hunger throughout the world.

Ceramics students and FOEBs (Friends of Empty Bowls) make over 200 bowls (to be purchased) and the Family and Consumer Science Department makes soup, served in the bowls. Also, the NSHS Jazz ensemble entertains throughout the evening. Last year’s evening was a delight for all the senses and raised over $1000 for the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen.

This year we are creating an EMPTY BOWLS RECIPE BOOK; a collection of delicious recipes served over the past 10 years, as well as recipes contributed by teachers, parents and the community. Please send your favorite soup recipe to be published in the Empty Bowls Recipe book to Karen Sobin-Jonash. We can make a difference, one bowl at a time…
