Newton South and Brookline High School Girls hockey have merged this year to form an exciting new team. Newton South Coaches Meg Lloyd and Jeff Reed will be joined by Coach Abbie Dugar, who coached Brookline last year, and Coach Jack Heavey, who has been a fixture in the local high school hockey scene for years. Together, there will be enough players for a varsity team as well as a JV team, increasing the level of competitiveness and training. Additionally, the new team is very fortunate to play where the Brookline team has for years, Boston University’s Walter Brown Arena. This is a great place for fans to come watch.
