Athlete Of The Week: Charlotte Huth, Track and Field

According to Coach Steven McChesney, “Senior Charlotte Huth is a stellar example of the term ‘student athlete.’ She is currently on honor roll and has just won the 300 meter event against a great Acton-Boxborough team known for its exceptional sprinters. In fact, Charlotte is now our 2nd fastest 300 runner of all time and is ranked in the top 20 in the entire state. Charlotte has had a great career so far for our Lions and has shown great range of ability having qualified for the division I state meet in 55 meters, 300 meters, 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 indoors. In spring track and field, she has qualified for Division I in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4 x 100. She is also a valuable leader of our long sprints group and I use her often to mentor starts and hand-offs for our new track and field members. She leads by example in her explosive performances and in her teaching. Charlotte also coaches youth basketball through the NGBA. She is on the business staff of the Lion’s Roar and is vice president of AIDS Action Club.”
