According to Swim Coach, Philip Martin, “Ryan takes the role of captain very seriously. He dedicates his time and energy to helping others improve. He cheers and congratulates every swimmer and speaks clearly about ways to improve. He is truly another coach on the pool deck. He understands the unwritten rules of sportsmanship in swimming and spreads his knowledge throughout our team.” Statistically, Ryan is a three-time Sectional and State Individual Qualifier and a three-time DCL All-Star. Recently, he finished third at Sectionals in two events, the 200 and 100 meter Freestyles. He also broke two Newton South Records; the 50 Free and 100 Free.
