Local police officers will teach basic self-defense techniques in a fun and exciting hands-on training course, Saturdays, May 10, 17, & 31 at 9am-1pm for girls and 1:30–5:30pm for boys in the Newton South High School small gym. Mothers are also invited to register in the girls program. The course is suitable for high school students of all grades and physical abilities. Senior class students will be given priority for both courses. Students must attend all three sessions to complete the program. The women’s program will feature the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) component. There is no charge for either of these programs. The men’s program needs a minimum of 5 more students/adults to sign up for it to run. Please sign up with Lieutenant Spalding, NPD, by completing this online registration form, and complete the appropriate waiver form (GIRLS form, BOYS form). If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or Lieutenant Spalding.
