NSHS “Empty Bowls” Event, Thursday, Nov. 6: Ceramic Bowl Sale, Soup for Dinner, & Jazz

Buy hand-thrown ceramic bowls, and have soup for dinner at Newton South’s Empty Bowls Event on Thursday, November 6, 6 to 7:30PM, in the Cafeteria. Drawing attention to the issue of hunger, this annual event is supported by several NSHS groups, and benefits the Centre Street Food Pantry. Over 200 bowls, crafted by NSHS ceramics students, will be sold; select one bowl or more, choose from a variety of soups prepared by NSHS International Cuisine students, bring soup home for dinner, or enjoy it in the cafeteria while listening to the NSHS jazz ensemble. Take a night off from cooking, and help the NSHS community fight hunger one bowl at a time. Empty Bowls will be followed by the Newton South Fall Music ConcertAdults:  $10, Students:  $5.  All proceeds benefit the Centre Street Food Pantry.
