Book Sale Was a Great Success–Thanks to our Volunteers!

The PTSO would like to thank Suzanne Freudberg and her team of volunteers for organizing our annual used book sale. The sale raised over $2,300, which will be used to support literacy initiatives in the English department, including adding books to classroom libraries with the goal of promoting independent reading among students.

Suzanne made lemonade out of the lemons of snow days and MCAS scheduling—by asking students to help set up. The PTSO would like to thank to the students who chose to help out at the book sale rather than sleeping in on a late-start day: Elena West, Galya Kolodner, Hannah Blakely, Grace Jessiman, Rose Freudberg, Jeremy Freudberg, Jake Freudberg, Zack Nislick, Yulan Li, Ariel Ervin, and Oleg Talanin.

Thanks also go to the many parent volunteers who donated, sorted, moved, set up, and sold thousands of books. It truly does take a village to pull off an event like this and we are grateful to the many parents who played a role, big or small, in the success of the sale.

We would also like to thank Michelle and Mark Eagle for donating the storage unit used for collecting and sorting book donations.
