Back-to-School Night is this Thursday, October 1, at 7PM, an important time for parents/guardians meet their students’ teachers and learn about what happens in the classroom. Before Thursday, your student(s) will bring home a schedule (with a map) for you to follow. Ask your student for your copy—if they have misplaced it, please use parentCONNECT to print a new copy. You may be able to ask your child’s house secretary print you a copy in their house office. A map of the school can be found here.
Back-to-School Night is the busiest evening of the year at Newton South. Leave enough time to park (walk or carpool if you can), pick up your directory, socialize in the cafeteria, and navigate your way through South to your first “class” at 7PM. Also, please be respectful of the school’s neighbors and their driveways. Wear comfortable shoes—there is lots of (brisk) walking.
Student Directory pick up will start at 6:15PM by the main entrance, continuing throughout the evening. See the following post.
Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday at Back-to-School Night!
