Important Information Regarding 2016 AP Exam Registration

Students currently enrolled in an AP class, must complete two-steps to register for the 2016 AP Exam. Please click “continue reading” for complete exam registration directions, fees and additional student repsonsibilities required before an exam will be ordered for a student.

Step One: Students must see their teachers and sign to indicate understanding regarding the following:

  • Students are responsible for the $95 exam cost or the $15 cancellation fee.
  • Students must go to Total Registration to register.

Students must sign indication of understanding by January 15, 2016.

Step Two: Students register with Total Registration and:

  • Print two copies of the registration.
  • Keep one copy for their records and take the other copy to Ms. Ann Dinsmore in the library along with,
  • A check made out to Newton South for the cost of the exams. Each exam is $95. Only one check is needed.

Note: Total Registration will require students to sign up for one of the Pre-Administration Sessions listed. During Pre-Administration Sessions, students fill in ID info on their answer sheets specific to the exams they have registered for. Session dates are: April 5, 6, 7 and 12 in Cutler Commons during lunch. During the Pre-Administration Sessions, students will also receive their AP number, which they will need when they want to see their scores in the summer. They need to keep the number in a safe place. If they lose it, the school will not have a record of it.

Students wishing to take an exam for a class not offered at NSHS should email Mary Ann Price. Not all exams are being offered. Students must pay for the cost of hiring a proctor for an exam if the course is not offered at NSHS.

Registration begins January 19, 2016, and ends March 17, 2016. Exams must be paid for by March 24, 2016. If students do not sign the sheet indicating understanding; use Total Registration; or pay for their exams on time, an exam will not be ordered for them.

Please contact Mary Ann Price with any questions or concerns.
