The Girls Ice Hockey team will compete against Weymouth on Saturday night, January 9, at 7PM at the Walter Brown Arena at Boston University. At this game, the team will also be making a difference off the ice with its Pink at the Rink game to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. In advance of the game, the players have been selling donation cards to be strung up in a collage at the event, as well as organizing bake sales both for the game and subsequent events. All money raised will go to the American Cancer Society. The Warrior/Lions will wear pink uniforms for the 7PM game, with the Weymouth players wearing white uniforms. The crowd can participate in Chuck-a-Puck and donate at the game as well. You may also donate to have a loved one’s name displayed around the rink for Saturday’s game, by emailing Coach Meg Lloyd at email@example.com. Learn more about the team’s efforts from this recent article in The Newton Tab. To donate to the team on behalf of the American Cancer Society, click here.
