Safety Drill

Today we successfully completed a school-wide safety drill called “Shelter-in-Place.”  During a Shelter-in-Place, teachers bring all students in from the hallway, lock their door, and continue teaching.  We use this procedure whenever there is a concern about something that is happening outside or near the school.   Last year we practiced our “Lockdown” drill, in which students and teachers move to a location in the room that is away from doors and windows, and remain silent throughout the duration of the event.  We are very pleased with the efficiency and seriousness of faculty, staff, and students in response to today’s drill.
