Workshop on Growth Mindset for South Parents/Guardians and Students – Wednesday, April 13

Would you like to explore first-hand how encouraging a “growth mindset” can motivate people of any age to learn new things? Do you know that the research-based growth mindset is useful for all ages and in all settings—school, home, work and athletics?

Newton South School Council and PTSO invite parents/guardians and high schoolers to an engaging evening exploring the growth mindset. Please save the Date: Wednesday, April 13 from 7:00-8:30PM at Newton South. 

You’ll learn:

  • Useful methods for encouraging children and teens to try new things and accept challenges
  • Effective ways to give praise
  • Constructive ways to respond to failure
  • Successful strategies for creating a parent-teacher dialogue about students’ development
