Four senior athletes were recognized by the Athletic and Wellness Department at the Senior Awards night. Katie Collins received the Betty Sabetti Award, presented to an athlete who demonstrates great physical skills and leadership abilities. The Leonard Adelman Award, for an athlete who has shown hard work, perseverance, and dedication, was presented to Dan Epstein. The Danny Mendelson Athletic Awards are given to two senior athletes with outstanding athletic ability; who are leaders and positive examples to his/her peers and respected by all; who put the team ahead of self; and who have contributed positively to Newton South. This year’s recipients are Sasha Hoban and Clare Martin.
