A group of our school leaders attended the first-ever MIAA Inclusion Summit, held at the College of the Holy Cross, on Thursday, January 18. Maya Jean-Mary, Larissa Williams, Adalia Rodriguez, Ashsdiyah Gaffney, Alana Axelrod-Freed, CJ Holley-Jones, Noah Whiting, Daniel Collins, Luke Cloud, and Brandon Lee participated in several sessions addressing race, leadership, Special Olympics and unified sports, LGBTQ+ experiences in schools, and inclusion of para-sport student-athletes on school teams. Innovative ideas and interesting exchanges made the long trip to Worcester worth it! The event was attended by students and adult leaders from across the state. Special thanks to Mrs. Katani Sumner for her support and guidance!
