We still need lots of books to make the annual NSHS Used Book Sale a success! Proceeds from the sale go towards funding NSHS literacy initiatives. This year’s sale dates are May 22-25. Drop off gently used books at the big gray storage trailer next to Goldrick House before or after school, AND DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. Volunteers will be at the unit tomorrow and Friday morning from 7:15 to 8:30. Volunteers will also be there in the afternoon on Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 and on Friday from 1:30 to 2:30. But you can also drop books off any time during the school day for the next two days as long as it is not raining and there is no immediate rain in the forecast. Leave them outside the unit if no one is there. Someone will be along to bring them inside.
We are most interested in books suitable for high school students. Please do not donate the following types of books:
- children’s books (late middle school level and young adult books welcome)
- textbooks, out-of- date travel or computer science books, or parenting books
- moldy/water damaged books
If you can’t drop off books, please email Suzanne Freudberg to arrange for pick up.
