The annual NSHS Used Book Sale is right around the corner and we still need lots of books to make the sale a success! So if you have been intending to clean off those shelves and donate books, we need them this week. Proceeds from the sale go towards funding NSHS literacy initiatives. This year’s sale dates are May 22-25. Drop off gently used books at the big gray storage trailer next to Goldrick House before or after school, AND DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. Volunteers will be at the unit from Tuesday-Friday, May 15th to 18th, 7:15 to 8:30 in the morning. In the afternoon, volunteers will be a the unit from 2:30 to 3:30 on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 1:30 to 2:30 on Tuesday and Friday. But you can also drop books off any time during the school day from Tuesday to Friday. As long as it is not raining and there is no immediate rain in the forecast, leave them outside the unit if no one is there. Someone will be along to bring them inside.
We are most interested in books suitable for high school students. Please do not donate the following types of books:
- children’s books (late middle school level and young adult books welcome)
- textbooks, out-of- date travel or computer science books, or parenting books
- moldy/water damaged books
If you can’t drop off books, please email Suzanne Freudberg to arrange for pick up.
We still need some volunteers to help with the Book Sale. We are looking for people to accept donations, sort books, set up the sale, and work at the sale. Please click here to volunteer.
