Newton Students Raising Money For the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

We’re at it again! Hannah’s Heroe’s, will be participating in the Cohasset Triathlon on June 24 raising money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Since beginning this team in 2015, we have raised over $38,000!!! This year, our team goal is $20,000. Can you help us reach it?

Why JDRF? My Hannah was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes back in 2011 when she was 11. She was forced to grow up quickly learning how to manage this very demanding disease. Thanks to research that is continually being done by doctors and scientists, there are many advancements making living with this disease more manageable. However, this research costs millions of dollars every year… which is why we continue to sign up for the Cohasset Tri!

This year, Hannah’s Heroes will have 12 athletes- 3 of whom have Type 1!
7 are students in the Newton public schools! Jonathan Hammer at Newton North, Hannah and Matthew Gonzalez at Newton South, Noah Gonzalez at Brown, and Ally & Hugo O’Halloran and Ally Rotenberg at Countryside!
To make a donation, please go to our team page.

If you prefer, you can mail a check payable to JDRF to Leslie Gonzalez 60 Verndale Rd., Newton MA 02461.

Thank you in advance for your support! It literally means the world to us!
