Girls Track had an outstanding performance at the Division 1 State meet; our 4 x 800 ran well. The team of Emily Bulczynski, Aria Sonderling (a sophomore new to the 800), Anika Fiore (new to the 400 and 800), and Shannon Laughlin placed 5th with 9:48.13. They are now the fastest wildcard team and made the seeded heat for All-States (Sunday, June 3). Phoebe Blumberg placed 4th in the Javelin with 106’1″ and will move on to All-States Freshman Kaity Shaughnessy placed 6th in the High Jump with 5’0″, while freshman Danya Goldstein set a personal record in the Discus with 97’10 to finish 5th. Our 4 x 100 Relay team ran their third best time of the season. (We did beat Newton North in our heat—always a highlight in any meet!) On the Boys Track team, Dan Collins finished third in the High Jump with a leap of 6′ 4″; he’ll compete at All-States.
