Mark is a PSIA-certified alpine instructor and child specialist at Wachusett Mountain ski school, a frequent NASTAR medalist, a volunteer coach of the Great Mountain Bears Special Olympics team, and a dabbler in adaptive snow sports. Mark studied history and women’s studies at Brandies, receiving degrees in 1985 and 1995. As undergraduate he was the captain of the varsity swimming team and a school record holder. He has taught at Bentley College since 2002. Mark has also taught history in the Newton public schools in the summer and at Gann Academy. Mark is an avid outdoor educator who specializes in differentiated experiential guided exploration. He works at the JCC year-round in early childhood education, and during summer months for Camp Grossman as a ropes course instructor. While prioritizing safety Mark also regards skiing as incredibly fun. “It is an opportunity to learn about oneself in relationship to others and the environment.
