Lion’s Pride Day a Success

Lion’s Pride Day, held on Wednesday, December 5, was a huge success! We explored leadership issues and what it means to be a student-athlete at South. Former Newton South and collegiate volleyball player (and current Newton South Girls Varsity Volleyball coach) Tory Bryan was our keynote speaker. Students made “bumper stickers” about leadership that are posted around the school. We finished the day with games directed by Mr. Rotatori that stressed team work, trust, and relationship building. Our athletes are now on a new challenge collecting items for the Newton Food Pantries as part of their community outreach.
