Newton South Tennis players are participating in the MIAA Individual Championship. Gabe Nissenbaum and Aron Korsunsky, representing the Boys program, won their first two matches and moved into the third round, which will take place on Saturday (May 18) at South. On the Girls side, Dorra Guarnacci also moved to the third round, as well as Maya Zeldich in singles and Marie Lee and Maya Zeldin in doubles. Competing last Saturday (May 11) were Jess Whitman in singles and Olga Zhizhin and Grace Honig in doubles, who won the first-round matches but then fell in the second round after very hard battles. The Newton South is hosting the MIAA Individual Tournament, and Coach Jampol is the site director.
