We have scheduled three of our five planned information sessions for the parents of incoming freshman. We are in the process of scheduling the Special Education information session as well as the METCO information session and will send an announcement about those sessions when we finalize the dates/places. Both sessions will take place during the last two weeks of August. At this time, you may RSVP for one of the three general information sessions with Principal Joel Stembridge. These meetings are for adults only, and parents/guardians need only attend one session as the same information is covered at each. Because these sessions are held in the homes of host families and there are a limited number of slots, we ask that only one parent/guardian register to attend a session initially. If we have additional openings as the sessions get closer, we will let parents know and welcome a second parent/guardian to register at that time. If we do not have additional space, we ask that only one parent or guardian attend the session. Principal Stembridge will speak for one hour giving an overview of Newton South and will then answer questions for the second hour. Please RSVP below for the date that works best for you. If you are unable to attend any of these sessions, you will have an opportunity to hear about freshman year at the Freshman Parent Night scheduled during the first week of school.
