Donate

The PTSO asks each Newton South family to make a donation to the PTSO and also to consider donations to Newton South and its extracurricular activities and the Newton Public Schools. See below for how to do this — and why it’s important.

Donate to Newton South PTSO

The PTSO relies on annual donations from each Newton South family each year. These funds are used for a range of purposes benefiting the school, including:

  • Teacher grants for creative curriculum development,
  • Printing of the Newton South Directory (an invaluable booklet of contact information for the administration, teachers, and student community)
  • Events (including teacher luncheons, One School/One Book, etc.)
  • Principal’s Discretionary Fund (to make sure no student at South goes without the basics for education)
  • Plus critical equipment and supplies that are not funded by the city.

The recommended annual donation is $60 per family. We are aiming for 100% participation – no matter what the amount. If the suggested amount is a financial challenge, please donate whatever you can.

Every family that contributes to the PTSO will receive one copy of the Newton South Directory at Back to School Night, regardless of dollar amount donated. (Additional copies can be purchased for $10 each.) Families with financial hardship should e-mail the PTSO at info@newtonsouthptso.org to receive a free copy.

To pay in advance and speed up delivery, please pay online here.
