As you likely know by now, the Thanksgiving Holiday marks the second of our four homework free weekends this school year. This is a one-year pilot, created by our Faculty Council and our School Council to acknowledge the energy that our students expend in an effort to be successful in their endeavors, and to provide families an opportunity to enjoy time together knowing in advance that school projects will not impact a planned family event.
In this light, I have asked faculty to adhere to this policy for themselves as well, making this a “no-work weekend” for them too! This means that students will likely not receive graded work (tests, quizzes, papers) back on the Monday following the Thanksgiving Holiday.
I hope that this Thanksgiving break finds you and your family in good health and spirits with time to relax and enjoy each other!
