Students, have you always wondered what it would be like to live half-way round the world in another culture? Then experience Chinese New Year and Tomb Sweeping Day as a Beijinger! Spend four months in China during the spring of 2014 as a Newton exchange student. While in Beijing, China you will:
- study at the Beijing-Jingshan School in both Chinese and English
- live with a host family in Beijing
- travel to the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and other parts of China.
Ideal candidates have a keen sense of adventure, a strong academic background, flexibility and a willingness to act as ambassadors of the Newton Public Schools and the United States of America. Students with previous Mandarin experience are preferred but not required. Need-based scholarships are available.
