Local police officers will teach basic self-defense techniques in a fun and exciting hands-on training course, Saturdays, May 4, 11, & 18 at 9AM–12PM for girls and 1–4PM for boys in the Newton South High School small gym. Mothers are also invited to register in the girls program. The course is suitable for high school students of all grades and physical abilities. Senior class students will be given priority for both courses. Students must attend all three sessions to complete the program. The women’s program will feature the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) component. There is no charge for either of these programs. Please sign up with Sergeant Spalding, NPD, by completing this online registration form, and complete the appropriate waiver form (GIRLS consent, BOYS consent). If you have any questions, please e-mail Nancy Mann or Sergeant Spalding.
