College Admissions Expert to Speak at “Newton Inspires: An Evening of Ideas and Community” on Tue., Nov. 19

Bette Johnson, former associate director of admissions at MIT for 21 years, will speak on how college admissions officers evaluate freshman applications at the Third Annual “Newton Inspires: An Evening of Ideas and Community.” This free community event, hosted by the Newton Schools Foundation, will take place Tuesday November 19, 7-9:30PM at Newton North High School. Ms. Johnson will join many talented, captivating, and forward-thinking individuals, who represent an array of fields and interest areas, to address topics ranging from business, education, science, health and medicine, to journalism, architecture, arts, entertainment and culture.
