On Sunday, April 6, students in the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will travel from Newton South to Lexington High School to perform as part of the MICCA (Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association) Festival. The buses will load at 10:45AM and the teachers need four parent chaperones to travel on the bus with the students. Please click here to sign up – your assistance is greatly appreciated! Other parents are encouraged to drive themselves to support Newton South at this important competition. The Symphonic Band will perform at 12:30PM and the Wind Ensemble at 3PM. Parents who attend are welcome to join the post-performance clinic where an adjudicator reviews the presentation with the students, giving them insights and suggestions on how to improve. Come join us for a great day of music! Any questions, please email teacher Lisa Linde.
