Has someone in Newton Public Schools gone above and beyond to make a difference for your child this year? The Newton Parent Advisory Council for Special Education (NewtonPAC) is taking nominations for the 5th Annual Special Educator Awards. The awards honor educators in the Newton Public Schools who have made a positive difference in the life of a child with special needs. The awards ceremony is a wonderful evening that means so much to the honorees and their families and friends, and we hope that you can join us. However, you don’t have to be present to make a nomination. Honorees can be in any position at NPS, and past honorees have included regular and special ed teachers, aides, principals, PE teachers, inclusion facilitators, secretaries, transportation coordinators and janitors. All those who are nominated will receive the award.
The awards will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in the Lasker Auditorium at Newton North High School. Light refreshments will begin at 6:30, and the awards ceremony will begin promptly at 7pm. We want all of the wonderful educators to be recognized! We are also looking for help with the refreshments. If you’d like to contribute, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Any questions, please email Eileen Sandberg.
