1) The Monologue Project: Voices of Color – Sunday, June 4th, 4-6pm, Newton Cultural Center Auditorium (Second Floor, Newton City Hall)
Join Newton Theatre Company, Newton South, Newton North, and Newton Youth Services for an evening of original theater pieces written and performed by Newton high school students of color. Hear their stories. There will be a Q&A with the performers after the show, as well as a published booklet of the students’ work available for community members to take with them. 2) The Newton Youth Walk for The Jimmy Fund: Sunday, June 11th, 11-2pm, Newton North High School Track
Cancer impacts us all. Let’s work together to find a cure! Join Team Setti Warren for the Newton Youth Walk for The Jimmy Fund! Teams must register before the walk in order to participate in the 2-mile walk (8 laps). There is a minimum fundraising goal of $20 per person. All ages and abilities are welcome! This is a great activity for Little League teams, girl and boy scouts, school clubs, school teams, and other youth groups. We will have pizza and other refreshments for walkers post-walk.
