The PTSO is busy preparing a great after-prom party for our seniors on Tuesday, June 6. We have lined up great food, fun activities, and cool decorations. But now we need YOU! We don’t have enough parents to run SouthFest successfully or safely—and the event is getting very close. Remember, this beloved Newton South tradition asks underclassmen parents to “pay it forward”—to volunteer at the event so that when it’s their student’s turn to attend SouthFest, they have the comfort of knowing that non-senior parents will be there to ensure their kids’ fun and safety, too.
We know it’s asking a lot to come late into the night on a weeknight, but please, please consider volunteering for a shift. We especially need people to work in the casino and as chaperones. Most of those slots are not filled in the first part of the evening, and none are filled for the later evening shift. The jobs are not hard and it’s a lot of fun to spend time with other parents and with our seniors. Senior parents cannot work at the event, so we need parents of non-seniors to help at SouthFest. We also still are very much in need of funds for SouthFest. We are getting close to the the halfway mark for fundraising, but we still have a way to go. Any donation that you can make would be greatly appreciated. Please click here to make a donation online or to find out how to donate by check. Many thanks for all your support!
