The PTSO organizes three to five “coffees” per grade throughout the academic year. The program arose out of the need for a common venue for parents to raise concerns and to share tips about what in their children’s high school life works, what does not, and to form a support community for parents.
A “What to Expect” Coffee/Social is usually held at a host South family home, usually from 8:00-9:30AM, sometimes from 7:30-9:00PM on a weekday. Issues raised by parents at these meetings are typically answered and if not they are channeled to the school.
If you are interested in being part of a Grade Level Committee to help organize these events, or willing to host one, please email [email protected].
