Dear Newton South Families,
On February 26, 2020, we received news that Tommy Cable, a 2019 NSHS graduate, unexpectedly passed away. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
Tommy’s services will be on Saturday, March 7 at 1pm, with a celebration of Tommy’s life with music and hugs at the Angier School, at 1697 Beacon Street in Waban, from 6:30-9pm. Please click here for more details.
Tommy was an active member of our student community and was very involved with our music and theatre programs. The Cable family is raising funds in Tommy’s name to set up a non-profit foundation, The Brightlove Project. The foundation’s goal is to “destroy the stigma around mental health issues; to find a way to ensure young “adults” get real help managing their medications and prescription refills in college; and to bring therapy dogs into the college environment as often as possible.” For more information about the project, please visit https://www.gofundme.
